Many people make the mistake of thinking that dreams cannot come true, but they can. You have to believe, and know that they are more than just imagination.

Winners of the Zahi Hawass Prize in the Dominican Republic

Pictured here are the winners of the first Zahi Hawass Prize in the Dominican Republic! The two students: Ana Eliana Paulina Uribe Pagan (12 years old) and Oliver Mañón (14 years old) were chosen from hundreds of children who participated in the contest. The children had to submit research projects that demonstrated their interest and ability to investigate ancient Egyptian culture. Both Ana and Oliver stood out among the others and were awarded the Zahi Hawass Prize by the First Lady of the Dominican Republic, Margarita Cedeño de Fernández. As their prize, Ana and Oliver will received a free trip to Egypt where they will have the opportunity to visit Cairo, Alexandria, Luxor and Aswan. I will give them a special tour of the pyramids and allow them to dig for a day at the site of the tombs of the pyramid builders. Congratulations Ana and Oliver!
