Many people make the mistake of thinking that dreams cannot come true, but they can. You have to believe, and know that they are more than just imagination.

Statue of Ramesses II at the Grand Egyptian Museum
Statue of Ramesses II at the Grand Egyptian Museum

In recent weeks, there have been many incorrect and unsubstantiated rumors about the state of Egyptian antiquities.  The colossal statue of Ramesses II that once stood in Ramesses Square was moved to the site of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) in Giza several years ago.  Today, I heard that there was a rumor claiming the statue had been damaged- this is just another incorrect story.  The picture above and shows the statue of Ramesses II in situ at the GEM site, safe in its protective enclosure.
