For me, archaeology is not a just a job. It combines everything that I could want - imagination, intellect, action, and adventure.

This is a group of lovely newspaper reporters that I have had the pleasure of working with for many years. In my job I have to deal with news reporters who write about archaeology and new discoveries in Egypt. However, these ladies have become more friends than reporters. They are all very dear to me and I think they have become more archaeologists than reporters. This photo was taken in Luxor near the Avenue of the Sphinxes. All of the ladies were there reporting on the recent excavation and conservation work that the SCA had been doing on the avenue.  I would like to thank all of these ladies for their excellent work in bringing the discoveries of Egypt to so many people.
