What is important to me is that I have the great good fortune to spend my days doing something I love, and being given the opportunity to make a difference in the world.

Every summer, about one hundred Egyptian students come to volunteer at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo for a project called the Friends of the Egyptian Museum. A curator is assigned to them, and they help the museum in every way they possibly can. Mainly, their job is to help tourists with any problems they may have, such as helping them find their way, or accompanying them as guides.
After completing their volunteering there is a graduation event. This is a wonderful occasion, and every year I go to give a speech about the importance of museums and cultural heritage, and give every person a certificate.
