Dr. Zahi and the golden mask of Tutankhamun

Today, 16 February, 2011, I went to the Egyptian Museum, Cairo with members of the international media.  My goal was to show the amazing conservation work done on the damaged items, and to prove that the mask of Tutankhamun was safe. Some news outlets had incorrectly reported the mask as stolen!  I wanted to show the world that the mask is safe, and it has been throughout this entire ordeal. (Photo: Stephanie Sakoutis)
