Cairo Nile Lions Club honors Zahi Hawass

On the 16t of March the Lions Club of Cairo met on the occasion of Mother’s Day. Samir Sabri, President of Cairo Nile Lions Club, chose to honor Egyptian people who have served their country with love. 

They first announced Dr. Zahi Hawass as a world renowned Egyptologist who brought Egyptian archaeology to the attention of the world by working to get stolen antiquities returned to their motherlands and by participating in many documentaries about Egypt to help bring world attention to our history. He also made significant discoveries and improvements to many sites and built many museums all over Egypt. Zahi Hawass received the honor and gave a quick speech. Also honored were writer Salah Montaser and some movie stars.
